      On June 24, 2026, at 18:35 Society A criminal case has been initiated in Bogorodsk regarding a possible violation of the rights of local residents. The basis for this was information about the lack of water supply in the homes of city residents for several days. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Nizhny Novgorod region. Reports of the problem were identified by employees of the regional investigative department during monitoring of mass media and social networks. Currently, a set of investigative actions is being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the incident. The progress of the investigation is under the control of the investigative department's office. It was previously reported that the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, became interested in the criminal case due to the pollution of the Ryazanka River in Bogorodsk.
