Additional monthly payments have been introduced for the reservists of "BARS-NN".

      On June 24, 2026, 18:18 Society Additional monthly payments for participants of the mobilization reserve "BARS-NN" have been introduced in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The support measure provides for a benefit of 50,000 rubles during the period of special gatherings - from training at the military training ground to the completion of combat duty at the enterprise. This was reported by the military commissariat of the region. The amount is paid in addition to the current monetary allowance provided by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, as well as while maintaining the average salary at the primary place of work. Thus, during the period of special gatherings, reservists receive several types of support: the preserved average monthly salary from the employer, ministry payments - from 20,000 rubles and above depending on military position and rank, as well as a regional supplement of 50,000 rubles. Being in the "BARS-NN" reserve does not imply being sent to the SVO zone and is carried out only on the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Recruitment is voluntary, through military commissariats of municipalities, and contracts are concluded with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in the person of the unit commander. Service allows for the combination of military training and gatherings with primary work. Reservists receive monetary compensation, equipment, and uniforms. During the gatherings, jobs and salaries are preserved, and insurance, medical care, and meals are provided. Additional support measures for reservists and their families have been established by the decree of Governor Gleb Nikitin: free kindergartens, school meals, sports sections and after-school programs, subsidized vouchers to camps and sanatoriums, priority transfer to schools at the place of residence, and emergency free medical assistance.
