June 25, 2026 12:49 Culture and Recreation Since 2018, more than 870 cultural heritage sites have been restored in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This was reported by Governor Gleb Nikitin on his Max channel. He emphasized that the region is setting a trend in the work of preserving historical and cultural heritage. According to him, this involves both large-scale projects and the careful revival of buildings that seemed to be lost. The region has developed its own standard for preserving cultural heritage sites, as well as created a unified portal for historical real estate for investors. Nikitin noted that the successful work of the region was recently acknowledged by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The governor also reported that a unique lot has been put up for auction, which includes four buildings in the center of Nizhny Novgorod with a total area of 755.6 sq. m. It includes the "House of the Merchant Y.K. Rybin," built in 1876-1881, two buildings on Kholodny Lane, and a non-residential building at 37a Alekseevskaya Street. The latter can be used as an independent space for business or become part of a comprehensive project. "We provide the tool, and investors give the objects a new embodiment," emphasized the head of the region. According to the auction website, the starting price of the lot is 23.3 million rubles. Applications are accepted until July 3. It was previously reported that 1,000 Nizhny Novgorod cultural heritage sites are planned to be restored by 2030. It was also revealed that the historical mansion of Ilyina in the center of Nizhny Novgorod was sold for 29 million rubles for restoration. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
