Apple removed VK apps from the App Store

      On June 25, 2026, at 12:35, Apple removed several services of the VK group from the App Store. They are no longer available for download and updates on iOS devices, the company reported. When searching for these applications, the store offers marketplace programs. Already installed services continue to work, but they cannot be updated. The Russian company emphasized that the removal occurred without warnings or explanations.

      "VK has never been under sanctions and has not appeared on sanction lists, as confirmed by numerous conclusions from international and American lawyers. Official conclusions from lawyers and all necessary information have long been available to Apple," VK stated.

      The company believes that this step effectively deprived users in Russia of access to popular services. Such actions by Apple were called unreasonable and unacceptable towards Russian users. iOS users lost access to "VK Video," "VK Music," and "VK Messenger." Also, "Odnoklassniki," "Dzen," and "Skillbox" disappeared from the app store. Earlier, the domestic messenger MAX was removed from the App Store.
