As reported by the director of the finance department, Yuri Mochalkin, the adjustment is related to the receipt of inter-budget transfers. In 2026, it is proposed to increase revenues and expenditures by almost 8.2 billion rubles.

Additional funds will be directed towards extending the metro, programs for resettling citizens, and fulfilling concession agreements for the construction of schools in the New Kuznechikha residential complex, the village of Ankudinovka, the Dubenki settlement, microdistrict No. 3 of Kstovo, the village of Bolshaya Yelnya, as well as on Gagarin Avenue and the streets of Kosmicheskaya and Ukrainskaya.

Funding will also be allocated for yard repairs, the construction of an apartment building on 40 Years of Victory Street, preparing a site for a medical outpatient clinic in the Kultura settlement of the Kstovo district, creating conditions for the education of children with disabilities, and bringing Olympic reserve schools in line with federal sports training standards.

Taking into account the changes made, the budget parameters will be: revenues - 87.4 billion rubles, expenditures - 90.4 billion rubles, deficit - 3.048 billion rubles.

The chairman of the city duma, Evgeny Chintsov, noted that working with the budget is a balance between large-scale city development and addressing the daily problems of residents.

"In the amendments, we took into account both large projects - metro construction, resettlement of emergency housing, and new schools - as well as specific issues: yard repairs, support for special children, and equipping sports schools," he said.

Chintsov emphasized the importance of ensuring that each area receives the necessary funding, as this affects comfort in Nizhny Novgorod.

It was previously reported that the deputies made decisions to award honorary titles to 55 residents of the city. The NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
