Recall that on the night of June 23 to June 24, the Nizhny Novgorod region was subjected to an attack by Ukrainian UAVs. As a result, two people died, and another two were taken to the hospital. A total of 23 enemy drones were shot down over the region.
According to Shalabaev, the fire in a residential building in the territory of "greater" Nizhny Novgorod led to the deaths of two people. The lives of the injured are not in danger. Authorities are maintaining constant communication with medical personnel.
The mayor also noted that after the attack, localized damage to residential and industrial infrastructure was recorded. Currently, specialists are assessing the scale of the consequences.
"I extend my sincere condolences to the family. This is a great tragedy for all of us. I have ordered assistance to be provided to the victims and the families of the deceased. This is our priority now," the mayor wrote.
