      A criminal case for knowingly false denunciation has been initiated against a resident of Semyonov. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. It has been established that a man born in 1994 reported to the police that an unknown person used his personal data to obtain a loan without his knowledge. When writing the statement, the citizen was warned about criminal liability for providing false information to the law enforcement agencies. Police officers conducted a comprehensive set of operational-search activities, carefully examining all the circumstances. The police found that the statement contained knowingly false information. The young man deliberately provided the law enforcement agency with false information about an alleged crime committed against him in order to avoid repaying the financial institution. The actions of the young man are classified under Part 1 of Article 306 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (knowingly false denunciation of a crime). He may face a punishment of up to 2 years of imprisonment. The investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
