Representatives of the district administration, the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the Charitable Military-Patriotic Fund "Zastava of Saint Ilya Muromets," and search teams attended the solemn mourning event. The remains of the soldier with a soldier's medallion were found at the battle sites in the Smolensk region. The search work was carried out by the "Poisk" team named after A. Olkhovsky from the Tyumen region. The medallion preserved the soldier's data. The insert was homemade, with completely blurred text, but specialists from the "Soldier's Medallion" laboratory managed to restore the records. "Eternalizing the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland is our common moral duty and the most important task. We must keep the bright memory of everyone who did not return from the battlefields and pass this baton to the younger generation. The memory of the feat of Sergey Andreevich Razuvaev and the feats of millions of other soldiers will live forever in our hearts," emphasized Maria Petrova, head of the Buturlin municipal district. Relatives were found thanks to the work of the municipal search team "Sokol" under the leadership of commander Alexander Zheleznov. Sergey Razuvaev had five children. Today, the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the soldier live in the Buturlin district. "For the descendants, this is not just a find, but a sacred thread connecting generations. All relatives were informed; unfortunately, not everyone could come, but everyone is very happy. Very little information about grandfather has survived. Only one photograph, which we constantly took to the "Immortal Regiment" march. And now our hero has returned to his native land," said the hero's granddaughter, Valentina Osyutina. "After 84 years, our fellow countryman, who was considered missing, will return to his native land not as an unknown soldier, but as a hero with his name. Thanks to the painstaking work of the searchers, the remains of Sergey Andreevich Razuvaev have been buried with dignity. We must do everything to ensure that the memory of the hero remains forever in the hearts of the Buturlin residents, and his feat serves as an example of courage for our youth. Eternal glory to the liberator soldier," said Rustam Dosaev, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region, a member of the "United Russia" party faction.
