Captain Vladimir Tkachev remains with "Torpedo" for another two seasons.
Nizhny Novgorod's "Torpedo" has agreed to continue its cooperation with the team's captain, Vladimir Tkachev. The new agreement is valid until May 31, 2028.
Recall that the 32-year-old forward moved to the "autozavodtsy" from Novosibirsk's "Sibir" last season. In the opposite direction, forwards Mikhail Abramov and Anton Kosolapov went, and the club also received a monetary compensation.
Tkachev quickly established himself in the lineup and became one of the key players on the team, later receiving the captain's armband. In the KHL regular season, he scored 24 points in 37 games. In the Gagarin Cup playoffs, he added another 6 points in 10 matches.
During his career in the KHL, Tkachev has played 843 games and scored 424 points. He has a Gagarin Cup victory, two silver medals in the KHL championship, participation in the All-Star Games, a silver medal from the Olympic Games, and a bronze medal from the World Championship.
The general director of "Torpedo," Evgeny Zabuga, noted that Tkachev's transfer last autumn was one of the most high-profile deals of the season.
"In him, we acquired not only a high-level hockey player, a professional, but also a captain who can lead the team, be an example for our youth. We are sincerely glad that Vladimir is with us for at least two more seasons. Technology does not yet allow us to clone him, so we did the maximum possible - extended his contract," added Zabuga.
Earlier, the Nizhny Novgorod club signed a new two-year agreement with forward Vladislav Firstov. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
