For those who want to become a doctor or nurse without subsequent mandatory work in a targeted direction, paid education is provided. Thus, for the first year of study at the medical faculty of PIMU, one will have to pay 351 thousand rubles (last year - 305 thousand). Prices have also increased for the "Dentistry" direction: from 430 thousand to 450 thousand rubles. "Training to become a plastic surgeon can be called a luxury - the residency now lasts five years - one year of study costs from 419 thousand rubles." At the Institute of Clinical Medicine of NNGU, becoming a therapeutic doctor can be slightly cheaper - 320 thousand rubles for the first year of study, but dentistry has become more expensive than at PIMU: first-year students need to prepare 460 thousand rubles," the message states. As for the training of nurses and pharmacists at the Nizhny Novgorod Basic Medical College, it costs from 200 to 300 thousand rubles. Training for paramedics costs 300-400 thousand rubles. At the same time, as noted by Alexey Nikонов, the cost of education in Nizhny Novgorod is still cheaper compared to Moscow, but more expensive than at one of the specialized universities in St. Petersburg. "I remind you that even those who pay will have to undergo mandatory mentorship, but the medical organization and region are chosen by the graduate himself," Nikонов summarized.
