More than 20 plots will be expropriated for the Eastern Bypass of Nizhny Novgorod.

      On June 22, 2026, 13:33 Economy In the Nizhny Novgorod region, more than 20 plots of land will be seized for the construction of the Eastern Bypass of Nizhny Novgorod. The order was signed by the regional ministry of property and land relations on June 19.

      This concerns 21 plots with a total area of about 102.6 thousand square meters — approximately 10.26 hectares. They are located in Nizhny Novgorod and the Kstovo district.

      The list includes territories near the village of Kuzminka and along the banks of the Rowing Canal, where production bases, warehouse sites, and transport infrastructure facilities are located. Among them are two plots owned by the LLC "Concrete Plant 'Vector'." It is worth noting that the 'Vector' plant belongs to the family of former vice-mayor Ilya Shtokman, who, along with his brother, is involved in a criminal case for bribery.

      Several plots in Kstovo are also being seized — on Stolbishchenskaya, Kalinina, and Komintern streets, intended for individual housing construction. The list also includes lands in the village of Krutaya, where gas stations are located.

      Rights holders will be compensated for the seized property. The amount of compensation will be determined in accordance with federal legislation on valuation activities. After that, negotiations will be held with the owners, and agreements on expropriation will be prepared.

      If the owners refuse to sign the documents, the issue may be resolved in court. Payments will be made from the regional budget. The order is valid for three years.

      It should be noted that the Eastern Bypass project includes three construction phases. The first phase involves the modernization of the existing road in the Nikulsky area, the reconstruction of the section along the banks of the Rowing Canal, and the construction of a new segment with a two-level interchange over the Nizhny Novgorod — Kstovo highway.

      The second phase involves the construction of a bridge over the Volga, and the third phase involves the creation of a northeastern bypass of Bor.
