Expert Gusev explained why gasoline at gas stations of the same brand costs differently.

At some stations, motorists are allowed to fill up no more than 30 liters at a time, while the price of AI-95 reaches 80−100 rubles per liter in some places.

      At the same time, there is no fuel shortage at gas stations, said Dmitry Gusev, deputy chairman of the supervisory board of the "Reliable Partner" association, in a conversation with obyasnyaem.rf. According to him, federal and regional authorities, as well as oil companies, are keeping fuel supply to the regions under control. Gasoline and diesel are available at both oil company gas stations and most independent gas stations. Some companies may introduce temporary restrictions selectively to regulate demand.

      At the request of NIA "Nizhny Novgorod," Dmitry Gusev also commented on the situation with price differences at gas stations operating under the same brand. He explained that some gas stations are owned directly by oil companies, while others operate under a franchise and are owned by private entrepreneurs.

      Such gas stations use the brand and operational standards of the network, while independently conducting business and generally setting their own fuel prices. Additionally, franchise owners can purchase fuel from different suppliers while meeting quality requirements.

      According to the expert, gas stations owned by oil companies can maintain lower prices because large oil companies are bound by an agreement with the state that limits fuel price increases to the level of inflation. Such obligations do not apply to private gas stations operating under a franchise.

      As a result, prices may vary even at gas stations operating under the same brand, concluded Gusev.
