46 abandoned cars have been removed from the streets of the Nizhny Novgorod district since the beginning of 2026.

      Since the beginning of 2026, 46 abandoned and dismantled vehicles have been removed from the streets of the Nizhny Novgorod district. As reported by the district administration, 29 cars were removed by their owners, and another 17 vehicles were evacuated by responsible services. Specialists from the district administration stated that the abandoned vehicles were recorded on various streets, including Bogdanovich Street, Kovalikhin Street, Minin Street, Zalomov Street, Rodionov Street, Belinsky Street, Volodarsky Street, Donetskaya Street, Varvarskaya Street, Maxim Gorky Street, Zvezdinka, Bolshaya Pechorskaya Street, Composer Kasyanov Street, Nizhne-Volzhskaya Embankment, and Kazan Highway. According to the head of the Nizhny Novgorod district administration, Alexey Rybolovlev, abandoned and dismantled vehicles not only obstruct traffic and block the passage of utility vehicles but also often become sites for illegal dumps. "The work on identifying and evacuating abandoned vehicles is carried out regularly in the district: such cars are recorded during inspection checks and also based on requests from residents received by the administration. I emphasize that work in this area will continue," he said. The district administration also reminded Nizhny Novgorod residents: if a warning has been issued about the need to remove a vehicle, the owner has 10 days to resolve the issue independently. "In case of ignoring the warning, the car will be moved to a temporary storage lot, with subsequent recovery of expenses from the owner. To retrieve the vehicle, it is necessary to provide an identity document and a document confirming ownership. The issuance of the vehicle is carried out at 3 Delovaya Street," the specialists explained.

      As previously reported, more than a thousand violations of paid parking rules have been identified using artificial intelligence in Nizhny Novgorod since the beginning of 2026.
