The court confiscated over 100 million from the accounts of the mother of a former judge from Nizhny Novgorod.
On June 18, 2026, at 12:16, the Volzhsky City Court of the Volgograd Region satisfied the claim for the transfer of funds to the state from the accounts of the mother of retired judge Viktor Fomin of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court.
According to the court's press service, the claim was filed on May 22, 2026. The supervisory authority requested that the money on Fomin's mother's accounts be transferred to the state, as the plaintiff claimed it was obtained in violation of anti-corruption legislation.
The court established that Viktor Fomin accumulated funds in his mother's bank accounts, which were obtained from the sale of real estate and its rental. A total of 101 million 518 thousand 463 rubles was accumulated in the accounts of citizen Novikova, who had no legal income.
By the decision of the Volzhsky City Court on June 17, the claims were fully satisfied.
The press service also reminded that on March 10, the court transferred Fomin's property to the state, which included 35 real estate objects and a BMW X6 XDRIVE 30D, registered in the name of his relatives. According to the court, during his tenure as a judge, he violated the prohibitions and restrictions established by Russian anti-corruption legislation.
The decision of June 17 is subject to immediate enforcement; however, it has not yet entered into legal force and may be appealed in an appellate procedure.
