"SWO is nearing its end": Lyulin commented on the massive strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Moscow

      On June 18, 2026, at 17:33, Politics Moscow and the Moscow region were subjected to a massive attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on June 18. The situation was commented on by the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Yevgeny Lyulin, on social media. The politician reminded that nearly a thousand drones, as well as cruise missiles and aerial bombs, were launched in the region. As he noted, they were effectively dealt with—all targets were shot down. Nevertheless, debris caused fires and damaged shopping centers, residential buildings, and enterprises. People were injured.

      Commenting on the incident, Yevgeny Lyulin noted that there are various assessments of what happened in society. In particular, some, in the heat of the moment, are calling for a harsh response. However, the parliamentarian expressed disagreement with such a position.

      We should not liken ourselves to war criminals. We should not unleash nuclear weapons. It is obvious that the special military operation is nearing its end. Remember history, Yevgeny Lyulin urged.

      The politician drew a historical parallel with the events of the Great Patriotic War, recalling the missile strikes on London in the spring of 1945, when the outcome was already predetermined.

      They could not reach Moscow; their hands were short. Our tanks were already approaching Berlin, while the English were sitting in basements under German shelling. Since then, technology has advanced significantly, but the brutal essence of Nazism remains the same. The closer the collapse of the Kyiv junta, the more painful the bites, the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region believes.

      In this context, he also mentioned strikes on civilian facilities, including a student dormitory in Starobelsk and a bus with children from Gomel. In his conviction, such a difficult period must simply be endured, showing calmness and utmost caution, and alerting loved ones about the danger.

      Our army is doing its job; the offensive is proceeding in all directions. The defense industry is working clearly. The truth is on our side, so we will definitely win, Yevgeny Lyulin stated.
