A new square with a bridge and an amphitheater will appear in Novinki in 2027.

      On June 18, 2026, 14:14 Society In Novinki, a new square with a pavilion, pedestrian bridge, and amphitheater is planned to be created in 2027. The project won the ranking vote under the program "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" of the national project "Infrastructure for Life." The idea of creating a new recreational area was voiced by the residents of the village during a meeting with regional and municipal authorities in November 2025. The preliminary concept of the public space was prepared by specialists from PJSC "DOM.RF" in collaboration with the administration of Nizhny Novgorod and the Institute for Urban Environment Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      According to the project, the square will feature an educational pavilion, a modern children's play complex, a sports area with an amphitheater, and a pedestrian bridge that will connect the functional zones. The concept also includes safety measures, such as thoughtful zoning of the area and the installation of surveillance cameras.

      As noted by the Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Sergey Morozov, the residents of Novinki clearly expressed their demand for the creation of a modern public space. According to him, nearly one and a half thousand votes cast for the project indicate its demand and the residents' desire to see the area safe and well-maintained.

      Morozov also reminded that simultaneously, a long-standing communal problem is being addressed in the area - the modernization of the sewage collector for the residential complex "Oksky Bereg." According to him, these projects are part of the comprehensive development of the territory and should contribute to the further development of the area. The square project in Novinki received 1,489 votes and took first place in the ranking vote of the "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" program. Over eight years of the program's implementation in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, nearly 5,000 areas have been improved, including 854 public spaces.
