      A financial organization in Nizhny Novgorod has been fined for pressuring debtors. According to the press service of the regional GUFSIN, three complaints were received from residents of Nizhny Novgorod regarding a credit organization that exceeded the number of phone calls to debtors without written consent. This was deemed as psychological pressure. Under part 1 of article 14.57 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation (Violation of the requirements of legislation on the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of individuals in the course of activities for the recovery of overdue debts), the company was fined 150,000 rubles. The agency reminded that citizens affected by the unlawful actions of collectors can contact the department overseeing their activities.
