The Presidential Academy ranks 1st in the country for training managers and executives.
On June 17, 2026, at the forum "Three Missions of Russian Education," which took place in Moscow, the ranking of the 100 best universities according to RAEX was presented. Over three years, the Presidential Academy has risen 5 places and now occupies the 8th position, falling behind Lomonosov Moscow State University, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Saint Petersburg State University, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, Higher School of Economics, and MGIMO.
The Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) topped the ranking of universities in the field of management and public and municipal administration. In terms of the demand for graduates by employers, the university ranks 2nd in the country.
"Today, graduates of the Academy occupy leadership positions significantly faster than others in both the public sector and the largest companies in Russia. The average Unified State Exam score of those entering our budget and paid places is steadily increasing. And, of course, we continue our active work on scientific and methodological support for government authorities, ranking first in the country for comprehensive scientific socio-humanitarian expertise," noted the rector of the Presidential Academy, Alexey Komissarov.
Unlike many university rankings, the methodology of RAEX subject rankings is entirely based on objective statistical indicators and does not use subjective expert assessments. The ranking of the best universities in Russia, RAEX-100, has been published annually since 2012. In compiling the ranking, experts assess the quality of education (weight in the result calculation 50%), the demand for university graduates by employers (weight 30%), as well as the level of scientific research activity at the university (weight 20%). A total of 45 indicators are used in the ranking.
Since 2022, the agency has been preparing subject rankings of universities. In 2026, 167 universities from 45 regions of the country were included in the lists, and 35 subject rankings were compiled across a wide range of natural and engineering sciences, social and humanitarian fields, mathematics, medicine, pedagogy, and agriculture.
"The RAEX subject ranking is one of the key industry rankings of Russian universities in the field of economics, management, and business education. The top positions in the ranking occupied by the Academy prove the effectiveness of the programs used in preparing future managers," noted the director of the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management, Ekaterina Lebedeva.
