The social protection management has started operating in a thoroughly renovated building in Voskresensk.

      On June 16, 2026, at 17:41, the Social Protection Administration of the Voskresensky Municipal District began operations in a building that underwent major renovations. Citizens can now apply for social services and assistance at the address: Voskresenskoye, Pushkin St., 65, room 1.

      As reported by the Ministry of Social Development and Family Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the building for the institution was provided by the municipal administration. More than 11.8 million rubles were allocated for the necessary repairs, updating the entrance area, purchasing furniture, equipment, and computer technology. This funding comes from the regional budget.

      "Creating comfortable conditions for the work of social institutions is an important part of our work. The convenience of the space organized for specialists directly affects the quality and speed of service delivery to residents. The renovation of the Social Protection Administration of the Voskresensky District has not only improved working conditions for employees but also made the process of receiving social services more comfortable for citizens. We will continue our work on modernizing social institutions so that residents across the region can receive assistance in modern spaces," said Igor Sedykh, Minister of Social Development and Family Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      As Alla Gerasimova, head of the Social Protection Administration of the Voskresensky Municipal District, explained, one of the main changes after the move was the organization of work processes.

      "Previously, up to six employees, along with the filing system, were in one room at the same time, but now no more than three specialists work in the offices. Documents were stored directly in the employees' offices, which complicated the search for necessary information and caused discomfort. Cabinets took up a lot of workspace. The updated building includes separate rooms for the filing system and archive—all documents are systematized and placed in special offices. This has improved the efficiency of processing requests and enhanced the quality of service for visitors," she said.

      The head noted that the premises of the social protection administration are designed in a unified style. Thoughtful planning, bright offices, and comfortable organization of space create more convenient conditions not only for specialists but also for residents—primarily for the elderly and families with children.

      Special attention was paid to accessibility for all categories of citizens during the building's renovation. The entrance area is equipped with the needs of people with limited mobility in mind.

      It is worth noting that the modernization of social infrastructure and the improvement of service accessibility for families with children align with the goals and objectives of the national project "Family."

      The national project "Family" was launched in the country in 2025 at the instruction of Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is a successor to the previously active national projects "Demography" and "Culture."

      The national project includes activities that promote the comprehensive development of families: expanding support measures, creating conditions for the active longevity of the older generation, and ensuring quality and accessible medical care.
