Only 23% of companies in Nizhny Novgorod are trying to retain employees who have retired. Almost half of the organizations in the city make no effort in this regard, experts from SuperJob reported.
According to analysts, 37% of local employers are willing to hire retirees on par with other candidates. In 36% of organizations, separate positions are open for them. 27% of employers do not consider applicants of retirement age.
Employers are more often interested in retired employees in sectors where there is a labor shortage. Primarily, older candidates are considered for positions such as skilled worker, engineer, salesperson or sales manager, driver, doctor, cleaner, and security guard. The practice of corporate pension packages is in effect in every fifth company. The most common support measure is payments or gifts for holidays.
