Investigators opened a case following complaints about the construction of a Wildberries warehouse in Novinki.

      June 15, 2026 14:35 Society A criminal case under the article "Negligence" has been initiated in connection with the construction of a large logistics complex for Wildberries in Novinki. This was reported to residents by representatives of the information center of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region in response to comments on social media. The logistics hub, covering an area of 150,000 square meters, is planned to be located within the boundaries of Parkovaya, Vysokaya, and Poletnaya streets. Local residents are opposed to the implementation of the project. According to them, the decision to build a warehouse near residential buildings and educational institutions is made without considering the opinion of the population. Moreover, people are concerned about the possible deterioration of the environmental situation. They are also alarmed by issues regarding the safety of children and the further development of the area. In June of this year, residents recorded a video appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin, asking him to pay attention to the situation. After that, the chairman of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to present him with a report on the results of the ongoing inspection. Later, residents were informed that based on the arguments presented in the appeal, the investigative department for the Prioksky district of Nizhny Novgorod of the regional Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case. Within the framework of the investigation, a legal assessment will be given to the actions of all individuals involved in this situation.
