A resident of Dzerzhinsk won money for mistakes in a crossword puzzle.
June 14, 2026 14:21 Society A resident of Dzerzhinsk in the Nizhny Novgorod region has sued a publishing house for a defective crossword puzzle, reports "KP-Nizhny Novgorod." According to the source, the man has already filed lawsuits against the publishing house three times. In two cases, the court sided with him and ordered the company to pay compensation. The reason for the legal disputes were errors found in the published crossword puzzles. In particular, in some tasks, the questions did not match the number of cells for answers, while in others there were inaccuracies in the placement of hints. There was also a case where the answer to a question about the builder of the ark did not match the crossword scheme. As a result, instead of the word "Noah," the cells produced a combination of letters that made no sense. In the course of the lawsuits, the resident of Dzerzhinsk demanded compensation from the publishing house amounting to up to half a million rubles. However, the courts partially satisfied the claims. As a result of the proceedings, the publishing house was held liable and ordered to pay the applicant compensation. The amount of each compensation was 5 thousand rubles. It was previously reported that a resident of Nizhny Novgorod won compensation for falling at the "Dynamo" skating rink. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
