Nizhny Novgorod region entered the top 20 in applications to the expert community of the "My Country - My Russia" competition.

On June 14, 2026, at 11:01 AM, Society The application campaign for experts of the All-Russian competition "My Country - My Russia" (12+) has concluded - a project of the Presidential platform "Russia - a Country of Opportunities." In 2026, 69 representatives from the Nizhny Novgorod region expressed their willingness to join the expert community of the competition, which allowed the region to enter the top 20 in terms of the number of applications. A total of 3,383 applications were submitted from across the country. The "My Country - My Russia" competition is held as part of the implementation of the federal project "Russia - a Country of Opportunities" of the national project "Youth and Children" with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund, and participation in it is available to residents of all regions of Russia. "The expert community of the 'My Country - My Russia' competition grows and strengthens every year. Before starting work, experts undergo training and qualification testing, so only the most competent specialists capable of providing objective and high-quality expertise are allowed to evaluate projects. It is their knowledge and experience that help participants improve their initiatives and increase their practical significance. The Federation Council has supported the competition for many years as an effective mechanism for identifying and promoting the best initiatives. I am confident that in this current season, the expert community will help identify projects that can make a significant contribution to the development of regions and the entire country," noted Lilia Gumerova, Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture, and Chair of the Expert Council of the All-Russian competition "My Country - My Russia." In the new season of the competition, representatives from education, science, government, business, and the non-profit sector have joined the expert corps, who will evaluate thousands of participant projects from across the country and identify the most promising among them. Before the evaluation stage begins, experts undergo mandatory training. Training webinars are organized for them, focusing on project evaluation methodology, the specifics of competition nominations, and unified approaches to conducting expertise. After training, they will undergo qualification testing, which allows them to confirm their level of preparation and readiness to work with competition applications. Each participant's project will be reviewed by at least three independent experts. In case of significant discrepancies in evaluations, an additional expertise is appointed. To ensure objectivity, specialists cannot evaluate projects from their own region. This approach guarantees fair consideration of each initiative and a high level of trust in the competition results. For over twenty years, the competition has united authors of socially significant initiatives from across the country. Participants propose projects aimed at the development of cities and villages, strengthening infrastructure, supporting education, culture, and the social sphere. Details are available on the official project website: moyastrana.ru. Let us remind you that since 2025, a national project "Youth and Children" has been in effect in Russia by the order of President Vladimir Putin, which fulfills tasks previously outlined in the national projects "Education," "Science and Universities."
