"United Russia" will take interaction with residents to a new level.

      On June 12, 2026, 16:14 Politics Today, on June 11, a conference of the regional branch of the "United Russia" party took place in Nizhny Novgorod. More than 350 people participated in the event, including members of the regional political council, deputies, heads of municipal entities, representatives of local branches, government bodies, and public organizations.

      The priority topics of discussion included increasing feedback from residents, as well as supporting programs and initiatives based on the real requests of Nizhny Novgorod residents.

      "We have one task at all levels - to be close to the people. And this means: to deeply understand the questions and problems of Nizhny Novgorod residents, to find effective and prompt solutions. This is the focus of all the party's work. 'United Russia' not only supports the course of the country's president but also turns it into real solutions: into laws, programs, new schools, hospitals, roads, and jobs. We hear the people, and their proposals become part of the People's Program because our goal is the well-being of every resident of the Nizhny Novgorod region," emphasized the first deputy governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region and secretary of the regional branch of the party, Andrey Gneushev.

      Speaking before the conference participants, Andrey Gneushev elaborated on the implementation of the People's Program - from building schools and developing transport infrastructure to improving territories and strengthening sports initiatives. Special attention was paid to supporting families, demographics, and modernizing the healthcare system.

      On behalf of the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, secretary of the regional branch of "United Russia," Gleb Nikitin, a directive was given to strengthen interaction with residents. No appeal should remain unanswered; this is the foundation of voter trust and is the duty of every deputy. It is necessary to respond promptly to signals from people, including on social networks, and to achieve real solutions to problems.

      "For deputies at all levels, there is nothing more important than live communication with people. It is necessary not just to hear residents but to be in constant contact with them - in public receptions, at meetings in the districts, on social networks - 24/7. Parliamentarians need to know what concerns citizens, what problematic issues they have. Helping people solve specific problems is the only way to make the work of deputies as effective as possible," said the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Yevgeny Lyulin.

      "Today, together with colleagues - party members, we discussed within the framework of the regional conference how important it is to maintain a systematic dialogue with all social groups, to respond promptly to any requests from citizens, regardless of where they live. It is necessary to timely inform Nizhny Novgorod residents about regulatory and legislative decisions being discussed at the federal level, about the current agenda and the contours of the forming People's Program of 'United Russia.' We will discuss the content of the program with the Government, executive authorities, and will definitely defend the positions and issues that concern voters the most today, all residents of our Russia," noted State Duma deputy, deputy chairman of the Energy Committee, Yuri Stankevich.

      "The effectiveness of party work directly depends on how attentively we listen to people and how quickly we respond to their requests. That is why interaction with public organizations, primary party branches, which are in daily contact with residents, is of particular importance. Public receptions, primary branches, deputies at all levels must work as a single team. Only constant dialogue with residents allows us to make decisions that are truly needed by people and help change the lives of territories for the better," emphasized State Duma deputy Artem Kavinov.

      As noted by the deputy chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region, head of the 'United Russia' faction, Alexey Antonov, significant work is currently underway to collect proposals for a new People's Program for the upcoming five-year period. Deputies at all levels and activists of 'United Russia' continue to meet with residents, gathering initiatives that will be included in the updated document.

      "Among the key priorities, support for families, solving demographic issues, the health of future generations, economic development, and support for participants in the special military operation will undoubtedly remain. These areas today largely determine the quality of life of people and the future of our country. Proposals from residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region will necessarily be reflected in the final document. The People's Program must respond to the real requests of citizens and remain an effective tool for development. At the same time, its regional block must be linked to the Strategy for the Development of the Nizhny Novgorod region so that all set tasks are solved comprehensively and in the interests of the region's residents," he stated.

      The conference participants unanimously approved the agenda and decisions on all issues. The work of the regional branch in the upcoming period will be aimed at strengthening feedback with voters, collecting proposals for a new People's Program, and preparing for elections to the State Duma and the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      At the conference, the party's active members were awarded letters of gratitude for high performance in the development of primary branches, successful implementation of the "Good Deeds Every Day" campaign, and personal contributions to solving issues raised by residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The honorary badge "For Serving the People" was also awarded to a member of the Regional Political Council of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of "United Russia," Vasily Naidenko.
