The acting head of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan underwent surgery in Nizhny Novgorod.

      On June 11, 2026, at 10:39, Incidents Acting Head of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan, Salavat Khusainov, was operated on in Nizhny Novgorod after sustaining injuries at a folk sports festival. This was reported by the regional health specialist Alexey Nikонов.

      Recall that the official was present at a match of kilya—a traditional Russian ball game—where he was hit by an athlete. Salavat Khusainov sustained closed fractures. The injured was promptly hospitalized, after which he underwent surgery at a medical facility in Nizhny Novgorod.

      Later, the parliamentarian went to Ufa. The politician noted that he has no claims against the player who collided with him, and he will continue his treatment in Bashkortostan.
