On June 11, 2026, at 15:55, Society In the "Switzerland" park, a new UAV division of the Military-Patriotic Education Center has started its work. This was announced by the mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabaev.
Based on the new unit, training will be organized in relevant areas. Teenagers will be able to study FPV drone piloting, engage in 3D modeling, master the application of neural networks, as well as gain knowledge in the field of electronics and UAV programming.
"This is not just a new educational space, but a modern center of attraction for youth, a forge of future engineers, UAV operators, and true defenders of the Fatherland. It is deeply symbolic that this event occurs on the eve of the main state holiday - Russia Day," the city head wrote on his MAX channel.
The center itself today represents a large educational platform. Based on three active divisions in the Nizhny Novgorod, Avtozavodsky, and Prioksky districts, more than 800 teenagers are engaged for free.
The program includes both traditional disciplines, among which are drill and airborne training, military translator and journalist schools, fencing, and cynology, as well as modern technological areas.
