In the first five months of 2026, 862 migrants were sentenced to expulsion from the Russian Federation by the Nizhny Novgorod bailiffs. Among them are citizens of Vietnam, Cuba, Congo, and other countries.
According to the press service of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for the region, foreigners had to leave our country due to violations of entry or residence rules on its territory (part 1 of article 18.8 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation).
Before expulsion, the illegal migrants were placed in a temporary detention center for foreigners. Once all necessary documents were processed, the migrants were sent to the border crossing point of the Russian Federation under the escort of bailiffs. There, they were met by FSB officers. Expelled violators will only be able to visit Russia again in five years.
