About 150 people participated in the ecological run "Clean Shore - Easy Run" in Sormovsky Park.

      On June 8, 2026, at 17:54, Society Approximately 150 people participated in the ecological action "Clean Shore - Easy Run," organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region in Sormovsky Park in Nizhny Novgorod. The event, held in accordance with the goals of the national project "Ecological Well-Being," was timed to coincide with the International Day of Clean Water Bodies, the All-Russian action "Water of Russia," Ecologist Day, and World Environment Day. Among the participants were representatives of government authorities, public organizations, businesses, sports associations, educational institutions, and other residents of Nizhny Novgorod. The event combined ecological and sports components. Participants covered distances of 1000 meters for adults and 400 meters for children, combining the run with garbage collection in the park and the adjacent shoreline area. As a result of the action, about five cubic meters of garbage were collected. "Today, it is especially important to show that caring for the environment can be not only beneficial but also unifying. The action 'Clean Shore - Easy Run' clearly demonstrated how ecological initiatives can be combined with a healthy lifestyle and active recreation. It is nice to see that more and more residents of the region, representatives of public organizations, businesses, and government authorities are ready to participate together in such events. I am confident that it is through personal participation, joint good deeds, and ecological education that a responsible attitude towards nature and a careful approach to our water bodies and public spaces are formed," noted the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Olga Belyanina. "The park lake is a place for the Sormovsky District where local residents come with their families, walk, relax from the hustle and bustle, and engage in sports. Therefore, it is important that, through our joint efforts, we were able to slightly clean the water body and improve its banks. No one acted heroically or did the impossible, but these efforts were enough to make the surroundings cleaner. The main thing is to take care together of what surrounds us, then people's attitude towards our nature will be more careful," said Mikhail Morozov, General Director of JSC "Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Nizhny Novgorod."
