The Nizhny Novgorod Zoo "Limpopo" showed how the grown-up baby aardvark sleeps.

      On June 5, 2026, at 18:27, the Nizhny Novgorod Zoo "Limpopo" published footage of a sleeping aardvark cub. In the video, the little one adorably rolls over and twitches slightly in its sleep. It seems that it is dreaming of something.

      Over the past few weeks, the baby has noticeably grown and strengthened, but the staff continues to take care of it.

      Despite this, it still remains a baby. Recently, the zookeepers gifted the aardvark a plush snake. The toy helps the cub explore the surrounding world, enriching its habitat with new smells, shapes, and textures.

      Recall that the aardvark was born in early May. So far, specialists cannot confidently determine its gender, as these animals have virtually no pronounced external signs that would immediately indicate whether it is a boy or a girl. The zoo has its suspicions about the cub's gender, but this will only be confirmed later when the cub grows and becomes stronger.
