      June 3, 2026 13:15 Society Trolleybuses may be launched between Nizhny Novgorod and Dzerzhinsk, said the deputy minister of transport of the region, Denis Ryabinin, in an interview with GiperNN. According to the official, almost all routes in the region are currently served by suburban routes. However, the key issue is that such transport operates under unregulated tariffs, unlike urban transport. This means that carriers independently determine the fare and organize their operations based on economic feasibility. By 2030, part of the municipal suburban routes is planned to be transferred to regulated tariffs. Speaking about the renewal of the rolling stock, the deputy minister noted that new buses currently serve only certain routes - in particular, to Bogorodsk and Balakhna. Meanwhile, small-class vehicles are used on the route to Dzerzhinsk. To improve the quality of communication between the two cities, the option of organizing trolleybus traffic is being considered.
