Nizhny Novgorod region will receive subsidies for the renewal of public transport.

      June 3, 2026 17:31 Economy The Nizhny Novgorod region has joined the list of regions that will receive subsidies for the modernization of public transport in the next three years. A total of 10.8 billion rubles will be allocated to the Volgograd, Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, and Saratov regions for these purposes, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced at a government meeting. More than 5.5 billion rubles of the total amount will be received by the regions already this year. The funding will allow for the purchase of new domestic equipment, as well as the creation of necessary engineering infrastructure.

      The appearance of modern buses, trolleybuses, trams, and electric buses on the roads transforms cities, making them more convenient for living. Our citizens are already seeing real changes. Route networks are expanding, travel time is decreasing, comfort for citizens is increasing, and of course, the ecological situation is improving, noted the head of the government.
