Volunteer of the Special Military Operation: "We will definitely win because we act honestly!"

Young people from different regions of the country signed military contracts in Nizhny Novgorod. Before serving in the special operation zone, the recruits went to one of the military training grounds, where they will undergo training as future operators of unmanned aerial vehicles.

      One of the contract soldiers with the call sign "Fly" is from Kaliningrad. He decided to connect his future with an elite unit of unmanned systems. Prior to this, the young man independently learned the principles of working with UAVs on computer simulators.

      "I decided for myself that now is the time to go on a special operation and help our guys. I signed a contract for a year, but I will extend it in the future and advance in service. I already have the necessary skills, and I want to improve them in combat training. My loved ones let me go calmly, as service in the army is a man's job. We will definitely win because we act honestly!" emphasized the volunteer.

      A volunteer from Kazan with the call sign "Shooter" also chose to serve in the unmanned systems troops. He worked in the production of ventilation systems, and his hobby was related to drones. But the main reason for participating in the special military operation was the desire to support a friend who is already at the front.

      "My friend has been at the forefront of the special operation since the very beginning - he is the commander of a reconnaissance group. I decided that I also want to help. My relatives know about my decision and came to see me off. I am sure that Russia will win," said the recruit.

      A distinctive feature of the contract with the unmanned systems troops is its duration - one year.

      As of June 1, 2026, the amount of the one-time payment to volunteers of the special military operation, provided they sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense of Russia in Nizhny Novgorod, has been increased to 2.5 million rubles. The monthly salary is from 210,000 rubles. Additionally, for military personnel of the UAV troops, extra payments are established for combat merits, for the destruction of enemy weapons and equipment - up to 500,000 rubles. Those who sign military contracts are issued certificates for the provision of land plots in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      It is worth noting that there is also a mechanism for signing military social contracts in the Nizhny Novgorod region, which additionally guarantees the family of the contractor 10,000 rubles per month for each child, benefits for utility payments, preschool services, and other types of support. Furthermore, individual support for the family of the serviceman is provided.

      The transportation of residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region to their place of service is ensured by the coordination center for supporting servicemen, mobilized individuals, and their families, operating on the basis of the House of National Unity. At the same time, the region continues to actively support servicemen by sending humanitarian aid to the area of the special military operation.
