A repeatedly convicted resident of the Buturlin district was sent to a general regime colony for operating a motor block while under the influence of alcohol.

      The inter-district court of the Nizhny Novgorod region (permanent judicial presence in the rural settlement of Buturlino) examined a criminal case against S., accused of committing a crime under part 2 of article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - driving another mechanical vehicle by a person in a state of intoxication, who has a criminal record for committing a crime while intoxicated, as provided for in article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

      The court established that the defendant S. has a criminal record based on the verdict of the Buturlin district court of the Nizhny Novgorod region dated November 12, 2021, for committing a crime under part 1 of article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, based on the verdict of the Perevoz district court of the Nizhny Novgorod region dated December 7, 2021, for committing a crime under part 1 of article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, and based on the verdict of the Bolshimurashkin district court of the Nizhny Novgorod region dated February 17, 2022, for committing a crime under part 2 of article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Based on the totality of the sentences, S. was finally sentenced to imprisonment for a term of 1 year and 6 months, with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to the management of vehicles for a period of 4 years, serving the sentence in a settlement colony. S. was released from places of imprisonment after serving the sentence of imprisonment, and the additional punishment of deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to the management of vehicles was not served by the defendant. Despite this, disregarding the previously issued sentences, S. in October 2025, while intoxicated, got behind the wheel of a motor block and began to move along the streets of the village of Bolshie Bakaldy, where he was stopped by officers of the traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia "Knyagininsky". Due to the detection of signs of alcohol intoxication in driver S., he was removed from driving the motor block. According to the results of the examination, the defendant was found to have an absolute ethyl alcohol content in the exhaled air of 0.345 mg/l.

      At the court session, the defendant S. fully admitted his guilt but refused to testify, exercising the right provided for in article 51 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

      The court, taking into account all the circumstances of the case, the nature and degree of public danger of the crime committed by the defendant S., the state of health of the defendant, the presence of mitigating and aggravating circumstances, found S. guilty of committing a crime under part 2 of article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, and imposed a final sentence of imprisonment for a term of 1 year, serving the sentence in a general regime colony. In addition, S. was deprived of the right to engage in activities related to the management of vehicles for a period of 3 years. The convicted S. was taken into custody in the courtroom.
