The MTS Link platform has added subtitle translation into the Tatar language.

      On June 1, 2026, 17:58 Society A feature for automatic translation of subtitles from Russian and English into Tatar has appeared on the MTS Link platform. The new tool works in real-time and has become the first solution for translation into the national language of the peoples of Russia available in the service. The technology is based on Russian developments. The system uses artificial intelligence to recognize the speech of speakers and displays the text as subtitles at the bottom of the online event window. To activate the translation, the user needs to select the Tatar language from the list of available options. The option is connected to corporate clients upon request through a manager or technical support. Interest in online communications continues to grow. According to the results of 2025, the number of events on the platform in the Nizhny Novgorod region increased by 65% compared to the previous year. At the same time, the use of AI tools, such as speech transcription and automatic meeting summaries, has nearly halved the average duration of daily calls. The service is most actively used by educational institutions, retail enterprises, IT companies, and government organizations. As noted by the director of MTS in the Nizhny Novgorod region, Andrey Belov, "the real-time subtitle translation feature will make communications even more accessible for multilingual teams and participants in international and all-Russian forums." He also emphasized that more than 26,000 Tatars live in the region—one of the largest national groups in the area, and many of its representatives use their native language in everyday and professional environments. The subtitle service was implemented in the third quarter of 2025. Its goal is to enhance the accessibility of business communication and training for users who find it difficult to perceive spoken language, including hearing-impaired employees. In the first quarter of 2026, the functionality was expanded: the platform added real-time subtitle translation into 18 languages, simplifying participation in conferences and training events for a multilingual audience.
