35 Nizhny Novgorod residents received support thanks to the social project "School for Family Members of SVO Participants."

On June 2, 2026, at 09:18, Society In the Nizhny Novgorod personnel center, the results of the social project "School for Family Members of SVO Participants" were summarized. In the first pilot phase, which took place from December 2025, 35 women participated. The main goal of the project is comprehensive support for the wives, mothers, sisters, and daughters of defenders of the Fatherland through socialization and training, assistance in employment, and starting their own businesses. "For each participant, this is an opportunity not just to receive advice, but to find a real tool for improving their lives - to gain confidence, return to their profession, or start their own business. As a result of the pilot project, out of 35 participants, 24 were employed, 10 changed their career trajectory, and one woman started her own business. The school allows for the combination of psychological support and practical assistance in one place," emphasized Igor Pantyukhin, the Minister of Demography and Human Capital Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Within the framework of the project, a mentoring system was implemented: specialists from the personnel center underwent training in methods for supporting the families of SVO participants, after which each participant received a personal mentor. There were also specialized meetings with experts. In classes with psychologists, participants worked on their emotional state, while with career counselors, they assessed their skills and chose directions for retraining or changing professions. Specialists from various business sectors shared practical advice on employment and discussed in-demand vacancies in the region. "It is important for us that every woman feels that her problems are understood, and that she herself is treated with warmth and readiness to support. That is why in the school we focus not on theory, but on live communication and practical benefits. The warmest response from participants comes from conversations with psychologists - the opportunity to exhale, relieve tension, and be understood without unnecessary words. After completing the training, all 35 women remain under mentorship, and basic support continues," noted Elena Vidyaeva, acting director of the Nizhny Novgorod personnel center "Work of Russia." The second stream of the project "School for Family Members of SVO Participants" is scheduled from June 15 to November 30, 2026. Any woman whose relative is in the zone of the special military operation can join.
