The Yamal government team visited the Nizhny Novgorod region to exchange experiences.

      On May 29, 2026, at 16:56, Politics The delegation of the government of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug visited the Nizhny Novgorod region on a working visit to familiarize themselves with the advanced management solutions of the region.

      Representatives of YNAO were presented with effective practices in the areas of public administration, personnel policy, digital transformation, attracting investments, as well as in healthcare, education, social policy, and urban development.

      During the visit, a working meeting took place between the governor of YNAO, Dmitry Artyukhov, and the governor of Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin. The parties discussed the prospects for socio-economic interaction and agreed to continue systematic experience exchange.

      "The practice of off-site sessions for the management team allows for a substantive assessment of the mechanisms that have already yielded measurable results. The Nizhny Novgorod region has conducted a serious restructuring of the investment climate in a short time, created one of the most developed systems in the country for training personnel for public service, and is actively implementing digital platforms as a tool for municipal management. Many initiatives are being piloted here, which then become federal standards. I am convinced that such an exchange of competencies strengthens both sides. Yamal is also implementing unique projects in high latitudes, and we are ready to share these solutions. We look forward to a reciprocal visit to our territory," noted Dmitry Artyukhov.

      Gleb Nikitin, for his part, expressed confidence that the visit would lay the foundation for new areas of cooperation, and that the presented practices would be in demand in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

      "The delegation was able to get acquainted with our key projects, major infrastructure facilities, and main cultural locations of Nizhny Novgorod, which have received a new look for the city's 800th anniversary. I am sure that the region's experience will be useful for work in various fields. The Nizhny Novgorod region is an important center of business activity in the European part of Russia. Colleagues from the Yamalo-Nenets Okrug were able to familiarize themselves in detail with our management practices and solutions," emphasized Gleb Nikitin.

      The introductory meeting took place in the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin under the leadership of the first deputy governor, Andrey Gneushev. Participants were presented with best practices in tourism, demographics, science, industry, and digitalization. The discussion involved deputy governors Yegor Polyakov and Sergey Morozov, Minister of Social Development and Family Policy Igor Sedykh, and Minister of Tourism and Industries Sergey Yakovlev.

      In particular, the discussion focused on the implementation of major infrastructure projects, the "FOUNDATION - Nizhny Novgorod Life Project" program, as well as the support system for participants of the Special Military Operation (SMO) and their families.

      A rich business and cultural program was prepared for the delegation. Guests were shown cultural and exhibition spaces, updated facilities reconstructed for the 800th anniversary of Nizhny Novgorod, as well as examples of landscaping within the framework of the federal project "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment."

      Additionally, the participants of the visit visited the ice palace "VOLGA Arena," the football stadium, and the world-class IT campus "NEIMARK."

      The delegation also visited the Corporate University of the Nizhny Novgorod region government and the year-round youth educational center "KUPNO.START," where personnel practices and initiatives in the system of public and municipal administration were presented.
