Four schools for 3,800 students were built in the Nizhny Novgorod region in 2025.

      On May 28, 2026, at 18:25, Society Four new schools with a capacity of 3,800 places were built in the Nizhny Novgorod region under national projects in 2025. Additionally, two kindergartens and 20 schools underwent major renovations last year. This was reported by Governor Gleb Nikitin on May 28 at a meeting of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The construction of two more schools will be completed this year, and the construction of five kindergartens will be finished in 2027. According to the regional head, the priority is to form a continuous education system "from the classroom to a qualified specialist." Currently, more than 1,200 specialized classes operate in 49 municipalities of the region, with engineering classes closely collaborating with enterprises. The governor noted that the development of interest in science and invention is supported by the network of "Kvantoriums." There are 13 such sites in the region, where about seven thousand children and teenagers engage in research and engineering activities. The number of participants is growing annually.

      Our region actively collaborates with business in the field of education. A good example of such partnership is the opening of the children's technopark "Kvant OMK" in Vyksa. This is the first technopark in Russia specializing in metallurgy and engineering production, Gleb Nikitin clarified.

      The governor mentioned that the Nizhny Novgorod region actively participates in the federal project "Professionalitet" of the national project "Youth and Children." In terms of the number of created educational-production clusters—19—the region ranks among the top five in the country. Furthermore, the regional head reminded that the federal technopark based on "Nizhpoligraf" is currently hosting the finals of the All-Russian Professional Skills Championship "Professionals," which this year gathered more than eight thousand participants from all regions of Russia.
