15 thousand Nizhny Novgorod schoolchildren became participants in the project "Guides of Meanings."

May 28, 2026 17:20 Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the spring wave of the All-Russian program "Guides of Meanings. New Route" has concluded, within which students in grades 9-11, university students, college and technical school students became acquainted with the ecosystem of youth policy and its opportunities. The program is implemented as part of the national project "Youth and Children." A total of 187 meetings were held in schools and 47 in technical schools and colleges during the first wave across 18 municipalities in the region. The meetings took place in a specially designed format, where real-life scenarios were used to tell success stories of young people from the region and share tools on how to turn dreams into reality. Meetings with schoolchildren and students were conducted by the "Guides of Meanings" teams - specialists in youth work, employees of educational organizations, participants and graduates of youth projects and programs, representatives of public organizations, activists, and leaders of partner organizations. To participate in the program, each of them underwent federal online training to confirm their official status. A total of 99 specialists became guides. "A dream does not become a reality by itself. It has a 'route,' and we have helped pave it for 15,000 schoolchildren already. It is important that those who have once walked this route serve as a guide. Our guides are key navigators, living carriers of meanings, who convey information about federal and regional opportunities for youth to the target audience in an accessible format. They do not give lectures but design the future together with the audience. In the fall, we will continue to expand the geography of the project and are waiting for new guides to join the team - those who are ready not just to talk about youth policy but to become its face in their municipalities," noted the Minister of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Svetlana Anufrieva. Currently, a new recruitment of guides is underway. Any young person aged 18 and over who shares the values and goals of youth policy, possesses public speaking skills, and is ready for travel and teamwork can become a guide. To participate in the project, it is necessary to register and undergo training. Applications are accepted until June 14. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
