Border Guard Day in Victory Park

      Today, on Border Guard Day, a solemn event took place in Victory Park dedicated to the brave people who, by their official duty, are the first to take on the responsibility of guarding and protecting the Motherland at its farthest borders.

      During the ceremonial part of the program, those present were congratulated on the holiday and it was noted that guarding the state border has always been an honorable duty. The celebration of border guards was joined by Sergey M.V., chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod regional public organization of veterans "Nizhny Novgorod Border Guard" (Vadsky branch), Kiselev V.P., deputy chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod regional public organization of veterans "Nizhny Novgorod Border Guard" (Vadsky branch), Dubovkin A.P., chairman of the Council of Veterans of War, Labor, Armed Forces, and Law Enforcement Agencies of the district, Kirilenko A.S. - a veteran of the Navy, captain of the second rank; Levanov Yuri Konstantinovich - a veteran of the Navy.

      The organizers and guests of the holiday honored with a minute of silence the memory of the guys who gave their lives for the peace and tranquility of our country.

      A wonderful gift for the border guards was a concert program prepared by soloists and creative teams of the Culture Palace of the village of Vad.

      At the end of the event, flowers were laid at the stele for the border guards.
