A 49-year-old woman was rescued from an island under the Kanavinsky Bridge.

      On May 29, 2026, at 11:44, Incidents: Rescuers evacuated a 49-year-old woman from an island under the Kanavinsky Bridge in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by the regional emergency management agency. A report about a person on the island was received by the rescue service at night. Fireboat "Vyun" and rescuers from the PRPSO of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia were dispatched to the scene. According to preliminary information, the woman was in a state of alcohol intoxication. The victim was lifted aboard and taken to the shore, where she was handed over to an ambulance team. To clarify possible injuries, the woman was hospitalized in a medical facility. Earlier, it was reported that a 35-year-old man drowned in an unnamed lake on Teplichnaya Street in Kanavin.
