Nizhny Novgorod airport has resumed operations after the lifting of restrictions.

      May 28, 2026 09:52 Society The Chkalov Airport in Nizhny Novgorod is once again accepting and sending flights after the cancellation of previously imposed restrictions. Currently, all services at the air harbor are operating as usual, the press service of "Chkalov" reported. One flight to Antalya has been canceled. Recall that the restrictions began to take effect around 4:00 AM on May 28. During the night, 62 drone-type unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted and destroyed in various regions of Russia. Around 6:30 AM, one of the downed UAVs damaged the building of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court. Access to the court's territory for staff is temporarily closed, and the adjacent section of the road is blocked. Court hearings scheduled for May 28 have been postponed to other dates.
