More than 400 areas have been improved in the Gorodetsky district under the FCGS program.

May 26, 2026 18:13 Society Activists from the Volunteer Center of the Nizhny Novgorod Region helped residents of Gorodets participate in voting for improvement projects within the framework of the "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" (FCGE) national project "Infrastructure for Life."

"The federal project 'Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment' has rightfully become one of the most in-demand and significant projects for residents across the country. Thanks to the active participation of residents in the Gorodets district, over the years of the program's implementation, more than 400 yards and public spaces have been improved, and the total amount of attracted funding has exceeded one billion rubles. This is the result of the joint efforts of residents, volunteers, and government authorities. I thank everyone who participates in the voting and helps make our cities and villages more comfortable and beautiful," noted Alexander Mudrov, head of the local self-government of the Gorodets municipal district.

As of today, more than 1,500 volunteers from the Nizhny Novgorod Region have already joined the FCGE project. Their number continues to grow every day across all districts. Volunteers work daily in places of mass recreation, at public events, and urban venues, informing residents about improvement projects and helping them participate in voting for the selected projects.

"For me, participating in the FCGE project is an opportunity to truly influence how our district will develop. Residents are not staying on the sidelines: they are interested in the projects, asking questions, and actively participating in the voting. It is nice to understand that thanks to our joint efforts, new improved spaces are emerging in the Gorodets district that will delight residents for many years," shared volunteer Anastasia Isaeva from the Gorodets district.

The Volunteer Center of the Nizhny Novgorod Region continues to recruit volunteers to participate in the FCGE project. Volunteer registration is open until June 5 at the link: https://vk.cc/cVnJGw.

"Everyone who cares about the development of their hometown is invited by the Volunteer Center to become part of our large and friendly team. Your help will make public spaces useful, safe, and comfortable. Join us!" said Daria Kovanova, head of the Volunteer Center of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
