      Recall that the 21-year-old driver was placed in a temporary detention facility. The investigator intends to petition for house arrest. The yellow Mercedes-Benz convertible, which the young man was driving on May 20, was recognized as material evidence and seized.

      After the accident, the police drew up four administrative protocols. Since the beginning of 2025, a total of 161 administrative materials have been filed against him, of which 51 were for evading administrative punishment. The case of one of the offenses—refusal to undergo a medical examination for intoxication—will be considered on May 28.

      Two criminal cases have also been opened against the son of the former head of the "Luidor" group. The investigation is under the control of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin.

      Before his arrest, Sergey Kornilov recorded a video address from rehab, where he allegedly went for treatment after the scandal erupted. On camera, he apologized for the traffic accident.
