The son of the former head of "Luidor" faces a 2.5-year license suspension and a fine for a mass traffic accident.

      On May 22, 2026, at 09:49, Incidents: The 21-year-old son of the former general director of the "Luidor" group, Sergey Kornilov, faces a suspension of his driver's license for up to 2.5 years and a fine of over 55,000 rubles. This was reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

      Four administrative materials have already been drawn up against the 21-year-old driver. These include Article 12.26 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation "Failure to comply with the requirement to undergo a medical examination for intoxication," part 4 of Article 12.15 "Driving into the oncoming lane," part 2 of Article 12.37 "Driving a vehicle without a compulsory insurance policy," and Article 12.33 "Damage to roads, railway crossings, or other road structures."

      The Mercedes car has been seized and placed in a specialized parking lot. Since the beginning of 2025 and up to the present time, 161 administrative materials have been drawn up against the young man, totaling 719,000 rubles. Of these, 51 protocols were issued under Article 20.25 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation for non-payment of an administrative fine within the legally established time frame.

      If the driver is found guilty, he will need to undergo a medical commission and retake the exam on traffic rules to have his license returned.

      Recall that a mass traffic accident occurred in the center of Nizhny Novgorod. The driver was behind the wheel while intoxicated.

      The situation has caused a wide public outcry on social media. Footage has circulated online showing Kornilov with a glass of wine in hand, admitting that he drank too much. After the incident, he also posed on the hood of the wrecked car and sharply responded to users, urging "the poor" not to be offended and claiming that "alcohol is to blame." In a conversation with journalists, the young man stated that he feels no remorse.
