Nizhny Novgorod exporters are invited to participate in the selection for government support.

      On May 21, 2026, at 21:35, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia announced the start of the implementation of state support for logistics operators aimed at compensating part of the costs incurred when transporting products to priority countries. The selection of participants will last until 18:00 (MSK) on June 17, 2026. Exporters are also invited to participate in the selection, who can take advantage of the opportunities to enter new promising export markets, where previously logistics costs were a significant economic barrier. The functions of the agent of the Government of the Russian Federation for the implementation of this state support measure are assigned to the Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group). A key feature of the new state support mechanism is the transition to a three-year planning period covering 2026-2028. In addition, the list of priority supply countries has been significantly expanded and now includes 41 states. State support is provided in the form of reimbursement of part of the actual costs incurred for maritime transportation of products in containers, carried out from the ports of the Baltic or Azov-Black Sea basins. The support mechanism provides for the compensation of expenses for chartering vessels under charter agreements, expenses for renting container spaces (slots) on board container ships (slot-charter), as well as reimbursement of costs for purchasing bunker fuel for operators who own vessels. The planning period for transportation eligible for compensation this year is set from May 15 to September 30, 2026. An important condition for the provision of funds is the achievement of a specific result - the factually confirmed volume of products transported across the border using established international transport corridors. "The implementation of this support tool is a response to modern challenges in the field of international logistics. The work on compensating transport costs allows Russian businesses to maintain competitiveness in distant markets and guarantee the reliability of supplies in the context of the global restructuring of trade routes. The use of digital platforms for submitting applications and reporting simplifies the interaction between businesses and the government, making the process of obtaining state support transparent and efficient," noted REC Vice President Alexey Solodov. The implementation of measures to support logistics operators is aimed at creating a sustainable foreign infrastructure and developing independent supply channels for domestic products, which contributes to strengthening the economic sovereignty of the country. To participate in the program, logistics operators must undergo a selection procedure, which will be conducted by the REC on a competitive basis through the state information system for industry (GISP).
