This was reported at a real estate forum by the Minister of Urban Development and Agglomeration Development of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Darya Shunaeva, as conveyed by a correspondent from NIA "Nizhny Novgorod." The question about the timeline for the adoption of the document was raised by one of the forum participants. She noted that after "the region became part of the municipality," changes occurred and inquired whether it would be possible to approve the land use and development rules by the end of the year. According to her, public hearings have already taken place. Shunaeva explained that the development of the Gorodets district General Plan coincided with a transitional period. The document was prepared, but then new federal rules for the turnover of agricultural land came into effect, which also affected the Nizhny Novgorod region. The changes provide for stricter control over the use of such plots and their conversion to other categories. As a result, the project had to be revised and the supporting materials reformulated for approval with the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and the Ministry of Agriculture. "In addition to public discussions, we are simultaneously coordinating with federal structures. We have finalized the project. It is currently under review," said the minister. According to the legislation, the review process takes about a month. After receiving comments, regional authorities hold a conciliatory meeting with federal agencies, which usually leads to additional adjustments. Despite this, the city administration hopes to complete work on the document by the end of the year. "Ideally, in the third quarter," Shunaeva specified, emphasizing that the region is also interested in the prompt approval of the General Plan.
