The court ordered the Vyksa water utility to eliminate violations of drinking water quality.
On May 22, 2026, at 13:34, Incidents The Vyksa City Court recognized the actions of JSC "Vyksa Vodokanal" as illegal, related to the supply of drinking water of inadequate quality, and obliged the company to rectify the identified violations. This was reported by the press service of the regional court. On May 20, the court reviewed civil cases filed by the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing in the Nizhny Novgorod Region against the resource-supplying organization. The reason was violations of sanitary legislation. During the proceedings, it was established that in December 2025, information was received by Rospotrebnadzor regarding the non-compliance of drinking water with sanitary requirements, as well as interruptions in water supply in two apartment buildings in the working settlement of Blizhne-Pesochnoye. The conducted sampling confirmed that the water did not meet SanPiN standards. A warning about the inadmissibility of violations was sent to JSC "Vyksa Vodokanal." However, the situation with water quality did not change. The court satisfied the claims of the supervisory authority. The company was obliged to bring the quality of drinking water in line with established sanitary standards within three months after the decision comes into legal force. Currently, the court's decision has not entered into legal force. It was previously reported that the court recovered over 11 million rubles from the former head of the "Nizhny Novgorod Vodokanal."
