On May 22, 2026, at 11:50, Society In the village of Pokrov-Maidan in the Vorotynsky district, a quarantine has been established due to a case of cattle leukemia identified in one of the cows. The corresponding decree from the governor has been published on the official portal for the publication of regulatory acts. The basis for the introduction of the quarantine was a positive result from serological tests of an animal kept in the personal subsidiary farm of citizen Svyagin A.V. The quarantine has been in effect since April 23 and will remain until further notice in the territory of the specified personal subsidiary farm. It has been recognized as an epizootic focus and simultaneously a reservation. The entire village of Pokrov-Maidan has been declared an unfavorable point. Within the reservation, the export of sick and infected animals is prohibited, except for sending them for slaughter. It is also forbidden to export susceptible animals, including those born from infected cows, until they reach six months of age and receive three consecutive negative test results at established intervals. During the quarantine, the holding of fairs, exhibitions, and other events related to the movement of susceptible animals is prohibited in the village.
