      May 22, 2026 17:20 Society The First Appellate Arbitration Court upheld the decision to terminate the concession agreement for the construction of a snow melting station in the Moscow district of Nizhny Novgorod. This information was published in the electronic court registry. The project concerns the street Komintern. The agreement between the city administration and LLC "Clean Streets of the Volga" was concluded in 2023. The company planned to build the facility in the Burnakovskaya lowland at a cost of 177 million rubles. It was expected that the station would be able to accept up to 10,000 cubic meters of snow per day. According to the contract terms, the contractor was supposed to complete the work by mid-November 2023. However, the facility was not delivered on time. As a result, the city hall turned to the court demanding the termination of the contract. The investor attempted to challenge the decision, citing the unsuitability of the site and difficulties with connecting to networks, including due to the actions of utility companies. The court did not accept these arguments and terminated the concession agreements last winter. On May 19, the appeal by LLC "Clean Streets of the Volga" was left unsatisfied. The decision has entered into legal force. Earlier, the Deputy Mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Anton Maximov, stated that the snow melting station in the Moscow district is intended to be completed despite the termination of the concession.
