The authorities will assess the development prospects of Lyskov after Bezrukov's appeal.
May 19, 2026 16:00 Society NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" - Alexandra Turovskaya The Minister of Tourism and Industry of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Sergey Yakovlev, will soon conduct a commission visit to Lyskov to assess the prospects for the city's development as a new tourist center of the region. He announced this to a correspondent of NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" at the CIPR forum on May 19. According to the minister, during the trip, it will be necessary to identify locations that require transformation, assess the volume of necessary funding, and outline the timelines for the work. Recall that on May 5, the People's Artist of Russia Sergey Bezrukov appealed to the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, with a request to transform Lyskov. The actor noted that he considers the Nizhny Novgorod land to be his own, as his parents were born in this district. "Gleb Sergeevich, after I saw Arzamas, I literally dream of seeing Lyskov in the same way. I understand that a lot needs to be done, but I really want to see Lyskov at the same level and scale," Bezrukov said. Yakovlev emphasized that the authorities intend to develop the tourist potential not only of the key centers of the region but also of less popular destinations. "We are trying to systematically develop the entire Nizhny Novgorod region. There are clearly defined tourist centers, and there are less popular ones. For now, Lyskov is the second case. But that does not mean we will not work on it. We will. Our task is to open this city as a new amazing place for guests of the Nizhny Novgorod region," the minister stated.
